Assistant Professor Ferah ÖZER AKER

During her undergraduate and master’s studies at Abant İzzet Baysal University, she studied in Sweden and Spain through the Erasmus+ Exchange Program. During her doctoral studies, she was awarded a Fulbright Research Grant and conducted part of her research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the United States.

Dr. Özer Aker has previously worked as a Lecturer and Research Assistant at Boğaziçi University and as an Educational Programs Coordinator at the Learning and Teaching Office of Koç University. Since 2025, she has been serving as a faculty member in the Biology Education program at Atatürk Faculty of Education, Marmara University.

Her research interests include scientific inquiry, nature of science, scientific literacy, teacher professional development programs, creativity, and problem-solving.
